I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell

The movie "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" written by Tucker Max and Nils Parker based on the New York Times Best Selling Book "I hope They Serve Beer In Hell" has finally been released.

I will be one of the first to admit that I really did not believe this movie was ever going to be released to the general public, I thought that Tucker Max was a liar and was just rambling on on about this "movie" that he dreamt about.

Now that the trailer is out he has proved us wrong about one thing: He is not delusional.

As much as I dislike Tucker Max because I believe he is a liar and his stories are more fiction than truth, I have to say a few things about this trailer and what this movie means for Hollywood in general.

Tucker Max has always stated that the people calling him liars are probably his most hard core fans, the ones that check his message board and blog every few hours to see if there were any updates. (I raise my hand). Tucker Max says that people that hate him do so because they wish to be like him but are afraid to break the mold.

Tucker Max has broken the mold. He has taken away the power from the kingpins in Hollywood that decide what, where, and how a movie gets made and he did it himself.

He found funding himself, he got directors, actors, locations, distribution all on his own.

The trailer for the movie as Tucker has discussed is more of a pre-sell rather than here are the 10 funniest jokes from the movie, now sit there and wait for something else that will never happen to happen. This could be the case or it could just be that maybe Tucker's movie is not that funny? I am now going to hold back on judgement until I see the actual movie.

When you play the trailer you will feel that you have been let down, you will not understand what the story is, and you will want to know more. In my opinion that is what a movie trailer is supposed to be about.
