Kegel Exercises is an exercise used by women to strengthen and maintain their pelvic floor muscles. The purpose of Kegel Exercises is to help increase sexual gratification, and also increase bowl and bladder control.
Kegel Exercises are regularly suggested by gynecologists for pregnant women as it helps strenthen the vagina which will help in childbirth.
Kegel Exercises can be done almost anywhere.

How To Do Kegel Exercises?
- To first work a muscle out you need to know which muscle you are focusing on. To find the Kegel muscles stop the flow of urine the next time you use the bathroom. Then release the flow of urine again. The muscles you use to stop the flow of urine are the muscles you want to isolate for Kegel exercises. You do not have to actually be urinating to find the Kegel muscles just do the act of stopping your urine and you will feel which muscle it is.
- Now tense your Kegel muscles
- Tense your Kegel muscles for as long as possible, it is said that 10 seconds is usually enough. Do not be concerned if you can not tense your Kegel muscles for more than 10 seconds the first time.
- Relax for 90 seconds
- Repeat
- Try and do upto 20 reps a day.
- You can do Kegel exercises almost anywhere in the house, even whilst stuck in traffic.
